Sifnos Island

Sifnos stands out among the Cyclades islands for its architecture and natural beauty. The coast reaches about 74 km, and it has beautiful bays and coves. The main city is Apollonia, near the center of the island, while the main villages are Kastro, Kamares, Vathi and Platys Gialos. The easiest way to get there is by car and you can get from one village to another in 10-25 minutes (Vathi is the farthest village).

Ten kilometers from Apollonia, just before Platy Gialos, is one of the most famous spots on the island, Chryssopigi. On the peninsula here you can find Monastery of Panagia of Chryssopigi (Virgin Mary of Chryssopigi) (1523), patron and protector of the island. Our wedding ceremony will take place there and in 5minutes driving distance, you will find the Lazarou Beach Restaurant, an Aegean charm to the interesting edge of the island, where our wedding reception will be held.

Traveling

There are usually 3-4 daily itineraries from the port of Piraeus to Sifnos and the journey takes 2.5-3 hours. The ferry companies that can serve you are: Sea Jets & Zante Ferries.

Seajets

Unfortunately, there is no airport in Sifnos. The closest airports are in Milos and Athens. Milos is the closest destination to Sifnos, only an hour by ferry, but as it is a small local airport it receives only domestic flights from Athens.
